More than a month since the last post. I've said it many times: I think this blog is dying. Maybe it's never lived.

I borrowed The Penultimate Peril by Lemony Snicket from the library. I won't talk about the story here since all of you haven't read it. Of course the story is very unfortunate. It's scary now. Not many mysteries answered though. Perhaps not everything will be answered because it's impossible the cram everything into the last book.

It's a good book. What else do you expect me to say? If you want it you can tell me. I'll give it to you.

I've left this blog for half a month. (I was busy with homework and my own blog.) Now I'm back with my favourite author.

Everyone knows I read (this is past tense) a lot of Agatha Christie's books. And people have some strange opinions about detective stories, so they have strange opinions about my reading taste. This is a little Q&A.

Q1: How it all started?
A1: It started in Form 2, I believe. I think I've told this story to some people, but now I'm typing it up. At that time I was a Harry Potter fanatic. I read some theories online about Trelawney and something about 13 people dining in a table, one must die. So one day when I wandered in the school library, and saw a book called "Thirteen At Dinner", I borrowed it. It was so interesting I started to read all other of her books.

Q2: Why do you like the strange little man, Poirot?
A2: Because he's clever, I guess. But more because he's funny. He's so weird, proud of himself, sometimes pretends to be very foreign (he can act very British in fact), talks about "order and method", "little grey cells". And he and Hastings together is the funniest.

Q3: How many of her books have you read actually?
A3: I don't know myself. Sometimes I pick up a book and find the title/cover very familiar, but I'm just not sure whether I've read it. I'll have to be told about the plot. I'll count the total if I can, but many months ago I thought it was fifty-something.

Q4: Why don't you read her books now?
A4: Mainly because I'm too attached to the computer. I've no time for other things. And then I've nearly read every book I can borrow from the libraries. But yesterday I borrowed Poirot's Early Cases and I've started reading it. So I am still reading her books.

Q5: So you read detective stories from some other authors, right?
A5: Yeah, a number of others, from different genres of mystery/detective books. But no one of them is the same as Agatha Christie. Christie is still my favourite.

Q6: Aren't you crazy? Nobody wants to read those kind of bloody books.
A6: Well, I'm kinda numb about those things. Yeah, a body, or more often, bodies, very bloody and all that, but those things don't get to my mind. I'm quite unimaginative, you know.

1. Westlife - That's Where You Find Love
Same as Janice's. I really love this song. It's one of my favourites on the album.

2. Coldplay - Fix You
I bought this album (X&Y), so I have to choose something from it. Really a moving song.

3. The Veronicas - Nobody Wins
It's not the best from the album, I guess, but it sometimes comes into my mind, so it's good.

4. Kelly Clarkson - Because of You
I really love this. It says 2004, but it was a single in 2005, so it counts.

5. Anna Nalick - Breathe (2AM)
I don't really love this song, but I like it. I really want to know more about this artist, but I can't steal music.

6. Destiny's Child - Girl
It's a very cute song. The best of DC.

7. Westlife - Maybe Tomorrow
Can I have one more Westlife song? They're so good.

I have looked at everything in my library whose year is 2005. I don't have many 2005 songs. Now I have to look somewhere else.

8. Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
I don't even know what this song is about. But I like it all the same. Actually I usually don't pay attention to the lyrics when I listen to a song.

I can't go on. If that song is good I would remember it. So this is my list. Not 10 songs, I know.

Lastly, one special mention: Hilary Duff - Beat of My Heart
It's the worst song I've heard recently. Totally overrated. I hate the chorus.

A Pillow Case of Mystery. Wonder what it is? It's 施公奇案, according to TVB.com. Why do I want to blog a Chinese TV show? Because it has to do with Monk.

I watched it today, and the story was that a "monk" (I'm talking about the real kind of monk) stole some gold and he hid it in some books. They stole the idea from Monk! I can't find the episode at the moment, I'll add it here if I ever find it. In that episode, there was a man who stole some gold (here, copied) and he wanted to hide them. He melt the gold and mixed them in ink. He began to write a lot of nonsence books just to use up the ink, so people won't be able to find where he hid the gold (copied again, as you must have noticed). I didn't pay much attention about the books, so I didn't know what happened exactly, but I think it's almost the same.

How come, TVB, I've always known you're bad, but copy an idea from my favourite show? No way. You're so lame. Think of an original idea next time.

(It's the first post that isn't about music. That's good. We have a change.)

UPDATE: Janice said she's seen this idea for many many times. Well, I don't know. One thing's still true. TVB is lame.

It's me again (no one else knows what to write about, if you're asking). I just watched that program called Out Of The Box: From EMI (after watching Monk). It was about Yellowcard. It looks like a rock band (I don't know much about them). And they were promoting their new single "Lights And Sounds".

That video of the song has some lights like those in Coldplay's "Speed Of Sound". Forget the lights. I seemed to have seen a violin. I'm not sure because my knowledge of these things is very limited. But it's very interesting to see a violin in rock music.

I don't like that song very much, but it's not very bad. Lights And Sounds is also Yellowcard's new album. It's doing quite fine (number 3 in iTunes right now), so I guess people love it.

I just watched Westlife on MTV. It was a program called "MTV Ask". The four lads got questions from their Asian fans and answered them.

I couldn't hear many questions, but those four lads are funny to watch just the same. The funny bits: Nicky suddenly kissed Mark after a question. I don't know why, I couldn't hear the question. Then later Nicky put the card with a question on it on Mark's ear, like some crazy people would do with a pen. And later Mark finally had to fight back. He seized Nicky's ears when he was saying "Welcome" (to the audience). Those two guys, really.

There was one lucky fan from Hong Kong who got her question answered. I forgot what she asked though. Other people include a girl called Janice, and girls from The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, etc.

There were four videos there: Queen Of My Heart, My Love, Fly Me To The Moon and You Raise Me Up.

At the end Mark drew one lucky fan who asked a question to win a signed copy of Face To Face. Nicky tried to seize the card from Mark, but the card accidentally hit Shane. I was totally shocked. My mother, who was watching at that time, was also shocked. But Shane looked fine. Get a grip, Nicky.

Good program. I like those funny stuff.

This blog has some rules (or whatever you call them). They are set by me and I hope everyone will follow them. Suggestions and opinions are welcomed.

• Every post should be related to our theme. For other things please them save for your own blog. Those unrelated things will likely be deleted.
• Add a prefix before your posts' title to make things clearer. For example, add "Music:" for music related things, and "Movie:", "Book:", "TV:" and so on.
• Post at least once a week (if you can make it) so that we have a good looking blog.
• Type properly. This includes caps, grammar, spelling, etc. If you don't know how to type properly you can use an app that checks spelling (e.g. MS Word).
• Since all of us are admins, we can change all settings and even other people's posts. Before you make changes, tell other members first. Don't make changes to others' posts, except typos and grammar mistakes (saving your friend's face!).
• Avoid Chinese if you can. If you really, really want to type in Chinese, type in proper Chinese, not Cantonese.
• You can add a small picture in your posts. I think that would look good.
• You are quite welcome to comment on others' posts.
• Subscribe to the blog's feed, so that you can keep track of things going on in the blog. I guess you need Firefox for that. But who doesn't have Firefox?
• Promote this blog whenever you can. For example, link it in your MSN spaces and other blogs.
• Enjoy blogging. But remember this thing can waste your time.
